In an effort to strengthen international cooperation and support the ongoing internationalization initiatives of our university, a delegation led by Vice President Doris Fischer from the University of Würzburg, Germany, visited our university on the morning of September 27, invited by the International Affairs Department of Pujiang Institute. Dean Xu Shenxing from the School of International Hospitality and Dietary Culture, Dean Xi Guoquan from the School of Business, Dean Cao Min from the School of Business and Tax Administration and Executive Director of the Ethnic Chinese Business Research Institute and Deputy Director of the International Affairs Department, Liu Bin attended the meeting.

     Professor Doris Fischer, a renowned German expert in the field of Chinese economics and management, currently serves as the Vice President of the University of Würzburg, the Director of the China Competence Center of University of Würzburg(CCCUW), and also a research fellow at the Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE).

     During the visit, Professor Fischer provided an introduction to the University of Würzburg, highlighting its rich history and academic excellence. The University of Würzburg, founded in 1402, is one of the oldest universities in Germany. It boasts ten faculties, four graduate schools, offering a total of 255 programs. With over 2,700 faculty members and more than 27,000 students, the University of Würzburg is known for its strong emphasis on engineering and is considered a top-tier comprehensive university. Notably, it has produced 14 Nobel laureates over the years.

     Following this introduction, Dean Xu Shenxing, Dean Xie Guoquan, and Dean Cao Min provided an overview of the programs and expressed their intentions for future collaboration between our university and the University of Würzburg. Dean Cao Min also elaborated on the establishment and activities of the Ethnic Chinese Business Research Institute at our university.

     The visit concluded with an exchange of mementos between Vice President Doris Fischer on behalf of the University of Würzburg and our university. A group photo was taken in front of the administrative building, capturing the momentous occasion.
