On September 20, a delegation from King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), Thailand, led by Dr. Somyot Kaitwaidvidlai from the Faculty of Engineering and Vice Dean Dr. Uma Seeboonruang, visited our university. The four-member delegation was warmly received by Dr. Jochen Amrehn, Vice President of our university, and Liu Bin, Deputy Director of the International Affairs Department. This visit aims to strengthen educational exchange and cooperation between the two universities and explore potential areas for future collaboration.

During the visit, the KMITL delegation toured our campus, focusing on the laboratories and research facilities of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the School of Computer and Communication Engineering, and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center. They engaged in discussions with Dean Yuan Zuqiang of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Dean Xu Pingping of the School of Computer and Communication Engineering, and Director Yin Niansheng of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center.

In the afternoon discussion session, both sides conducted in-depth discussions on potential collaborations. Several joint initiatives were proposed, including co-hosting summer school programs and establishing integrated undergraduate-to-master’s degree programs.

As one of Thailand’s leading universities in engineering and technology, KMITL has demonstrated outstanding achievements in research and education across various disciplines. This meeting not only deepened mutual understanding between the two universities but also laid a solid foundation for future cooperation. Both sides expressed their commitment to building a long-term partnership, fostering international collaboration and exchange by sharing resources and organizing joint activities.
